White Christmas Choir

Journey and Sol had an aunt AND an uncle in this year's Chamber Choir Christmas performance. Auntie Sharon (Garron's sister) and uncle John (my sister's hubby) were both singing. Me and the kids had to leave at half time(the whole show was over 2 hours!!) cause it was getting late and the kids were NOT sitting quietly. But I enjoyed what I heard. (:

Favorite Game

One of my kids favorite games is Memory (where you have to turn cards over two at a time hoping to find a match). We discovered this was a game our international student Edgar liked to play when he was young, too.

Moonlight Madness

On December 11th Garron and I had a date out at Rosebud Dinner Theatre (thanks BOB!!!) and so we left the kids in the capable hands of Grampa Rish. They had a blast taking in all the Moonlight Madness Festivities including free hotdog supper at the school, hayrides, hot chocolate, window shopping and more. They were sound asleep by the time we got home but the next morning they were all smiles as they told us about all the fun things grampa had done with them. Thanks to Auntie Sharon for snapping some photos of the hay ride!

Cutting Down The Tree

We went out to Sundre yesterday to cut down our Christmas Tree. We took our international student Edgar along so he could experience this wonderful Canadian tradition. He was amazed at the amount of snow (above our knees!!) and impressed that our little jeep could drive through it. Journey and Sol both got trees for their own room and will be making all the decorations for them. The big tree for our living room is a tad on the Charlie Brown side of things ... but with a few lights and sentimental ornaments I think it will look just fine. (:
