Lotsa News!

First of all ... Solomon arrived on June 6th. I started having contractions at 10:30 Monday night and at 3:40 Tuesday he was born. That's a whole 30 hours shorter than Journey's labor ... hallelujah!!

Second, my baby brother Pete got married on June 17th. Wow. I have seen such a change in him these last few months. A very definite maturing and mellowing. It is clear he takes his engagement and marriage very seriously and that is so neat to see. We wish him and Kate all the best as they begin this new chapter of their lives together. On a related note; Journey got to be a flower girl at their wedding and this was tremendously exciting for her. She did an awesome job for a two year old ... even announcing to everyone as she started down the aisle that she was 'dropping the pedals'.

Third, Garron is now cycling across the country. We put him on a plane for Victoria on June 29th and he won't be home till September 5th! This will definitely be the longest we've ever been apart. I am spending most of the summer at mom's so that I'll have plenty of help with the kids. Garron could use your prayers as his left knee suffered an injury a week before the start of the trip and has not healed. He has had to ride the bus a few times which is a major frustration for him.

And fourth, my brother David and his wife Erin and their kids are home from Russia for the summer. We are having a blast with them and will be very sad when they go back in the middle of August.
