Dear God ...

This morning as Garron and I were having our daily prayer time together we overheard Journey doing the same thing. It was so precious to hear our little girl talking to her heavenly father without our prompting. It went something like this:

Deep sigh, "God, can you help me with my finger nail?"
pause ... "God, why aren't you talking to me?"
'nother pause ... (here she mumbled something more to God that we couldn't make out)

We kept praying until Journey announced to us that her clock had turned to the number 8 (whick means she can come out of her room). So we invited her to come out and cuddle with us until we finished praying. She did, and when we were done I told her that I thought I had heard her talking to God too. She said, "Yeah, about my finger nail. So He can make it better. But He didn't talk to me." I assured her that God always hears us and cares about what we say even though we may not hear him talk back to us. I told her sometimes we can 'hear' Him talk to us in our hearts. She looked up at me and asked, "Does Steve have a heart with God in it?"
"You mean Steve from Blue's Clues?"
"Yeah"
"I don't know."
"Well, can I WATCH Blue's Clues?"
"Sure, I think that would be fine!"

Funny ending to an incredibly precious moment.

That really is very adorable...since when do you two have a daily prayer time? Rough times only right? Us too, but hey, if you pray together when everything is fine, that's great too :) What fun we shall have living close together, the beginning of this sentence sounded a bit like the book "faraway tree", what a great set of books.

Night, obviously getting late for me :)
